Truck collision, fire closes section of eastbound I-30 in Hunt County

HUNT COUNTY, TX – Emergency crews were dispatched to a truck crash and fire Tuesday morning on Interstate 30 near Royse City, according to WFAA 8 ABC.

The Hunt County Sheriff’s Office said the events unfolded on the eastbound lanes just past Farm to Market Road 1565, prompting a road closure at about 7:30 a.m.

While the cause and nature of the fiery accident was not immediately clear, no one was reported hurt, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved. Firefighters were on the scene working to contain the blaze at the time of the initial report.

Officials have not indicated any pending charges or citations.
