Extrication crash with semi in Austin sends 2 to hospital 

AUSTIN, TX – An ambulance took two people to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center following a crash with extrication involving a semi-truck near Boggy Creek Wednesday. 

This collision was reported at 11 p.m. in the 8600th block of South I-35 Frontage Road, Austin Travis County Emergency Medical Services revealed. 

The Austin Fire Department was also summoned to the scene and requested to extricate a person trapped inside their vehicle. They successfully extricated that person. Once that task was complete, paramedics issued the pinned person and other occupant trauma alerts before taking them to St. David’s, where they were set to receive treatment for potentially serious injuries. 

First responders have not released other details at this time.
