CHESTER COUNTY, VA – Virginia Department of Transportation crews had to temporarily shut down the U.S. Route 1 North and South Sunday afternoon due to a trash truck collision.
VDOT told WRIC that all lanes reopened around 3:30 p.m., indicating closures were north of Ruffin Mill Road. It is not immediately clear what events led to this wreck, if other vehicles were involved, or if anyone was injured or sent to a hospital.
