NASHVILLE, TN – A semi-trailer driver was hospitalized for minor wounds after they crashed their truck into Mill Creek along I-24 West Sunday, WSMV reported.
This collision happened after 1:30 p.m. Good samaritans were able to help the driver get out of the water prior to emergency crews arriving.
Once first responders were on site, they transported the motorist to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and shut down most lanes before reopening them all around 9 p.m.
It appears crews used a crane to remove the truck (cab and trailer) from the site.
Tennessee Highway Patrol, which is in charge of this investigation, has not released any other details at this time.
