HOUSTON, TX – Two people were injured when an 18-wheeler fuel truck caught on fire and overturned after a multi-vehicle wreck on IH-45 South Saturday night.
Houston fire crews and police told Click2Houston that they shut down the area along Tidwell Road after arriving for the scene clearance process. A Hazmat truck was also called to the crash site to clean up any spilled fuel.
All closures were lifted around 5 p.m. Sunday.
First responders said among the two wounded individuals, one sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the other occupant’s current physical condition is unknown.
