The Georgia Department of Transportation crews, who were called to the scene, said the truck driver had hit the side of the original bridge, which is right next to the new bridge that opened in April.
It is not exactly clear what led the driver to strike the bridge or if they were injured. If new information surfaces, then our team of news writers will add new details.
