CARTER COUNTY, TN – A driver of a trash truck had supposedly overcorrected and then drifted off Piney Grove Road, leading him to ram into a church and sustain injuries.
This collision happened in the northbound lanes on Monday, WIJHL said. The church that was damaged was the Simerly Creek Believer’s Fellowship Church, formerly known as Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
Tennessee Highway Patrol, who responded to the scene, did not say if he was hospitalized or commented on the severity of his injuries but did confirm he won’t be facing charges.
