At least 1 hurt when semi overturns, spills fuel in Redfield

REDFIELD, AK – At least one person sustained injuries when their semi-truck overturned on I-530, spilling oil and diesel fuel on I-530 Tuesday.

KARK said this collision happened in the northbound direction coming into Redfield. Since Hazmat crews were called to clean the spill, authorities closed at least one or two lanes of traffic, which resulted in traffic backup in both the north and southbound directions.

All lanes have reopened since, but officials did not comment on the events leading up to this collision.
