FORT BELVOIR, VA – A driver of a government fuel truck was hospitalized after their truck rolled over, leading thousands of gallons to spill at the Davison Army Airfield Wednesday.
DC News Now said the Fort Belvoir Emergency Services and the Fairfax Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene — the 6954th block of Britten Drive — around 6:30 p.m.
Crews were last seen cleaning up the fuel. Public officials for the base confirmed that Wednesday’s fuel spillage “does not pose a threat” to the community.
