PFLUGERVILLE, TX – A driver of a Honda passenger car lost her life when she struck a tractor-trailer on southbound TX 130 Thursday.
The events started to unfold when, around 2:12 p.m., the woman drifted off the highway, went into a grassy median, returned to the road, and struck the truck, CBS Austin said.
Authorities declared the woman dead at the scene and said the tractor-trailer driver escaped injuries.
The Pflugerville Police Department, Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Pflugerville Travis County ESD 2, and Texas Department of Safety all responded to the crash site, closing the southbound lanes for at least two hours for the investigation and scene clearance.
Officials started an investigation and have not provided further commentary, including the release of the victim’s name.
