MORGAN COUNTY, AL — A 37-year-old woman from Crane Hill died last Friday morning, March 8, as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 65 in Falkville, reports WHNT.
The accident happened at mile marker 322, near East Pike Road, and was first reported by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency at 10:13 a.m.
Officials said the woman was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla when the car collided with a 2016 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.
First responders pronounced the driver of the Toyota deceased at the scene.
It was not immediately clear whether the driver of the big rig was seriously hurt.
The ALEA continues to investigate.
