CHILTON COUNTY, AL — Authorities were dispatched to the scene of a wreck involving an overturned 18-wheeler Thursday morning on Interstate 65 near north Clanton, reports ABC 3340.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes approaching mile marker 213, near Rest Stop Mile Marker 213, just before 7:00 a.m.
It was not immediately apparent what caused the tractor-trailer to roll over, but all northbound lanes, along with a number of southbound lanes, were closed as a result.
ABC 3340’s report indicated that the incident was one of two multi-vehicle crashes that occurred within hours of each other, but no information regarding the other vehicles has been shared.
No injuries or hospital transports from the scene have been confirmed following the event.
