BROWARD COUNTY, FL — A man lost his life Tuesday morning as a result of a single-vehicle rollover collision off U.S. Highway 27 near Weston, according to WPTV.
The accident occurred on the southbound lanes near mile marker 40 at around 6:42 a.m.
Florida Highway Patrol officials say the victim was driving a 1992 Ford dump truck southbound when, for reasons still being investigated, the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and onto the shoulder before rolling over.
First responders arrived to find the truck at rest on its left side. Shortly after, its male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed at this time.
At around 8:30 a.m., officials had one southbound lane temporarily open for motorists.
