U.S. Mail truck collides with semi-tractor trailer on I-95 in Palm City

MARTIN COUNTY, FL — Minor injuries were reported early Friday following a two-truck crash involving a U.S. Mail truck on Interstate 95 in Palm City, reports CBS 12.

The accident happened on a stretch of I-95 at around 1:30 a.m.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, the U.S. Mail truck struck a semi tractor-trailer, which left both drivers with minor injuries and caused a full closure of the interstate.

At around 5:00 a.m., at least 3.5 hours later, After crews had cleared the scene of mangled metal, other vehicle debris, and paper mail.

The cause of the wreck was not immediately clear, and no charges have been reported at this time.
