ANDERSON COUNTY, SC — Crews were dispatched to a big rig collision Monday evening on Interstate 85 near northwest Pelzer, according to Fox Carolina News.
The accident took place on the northbound lanes at Exit 32 to Easley Highway, or State Highway 8. Fox Carolina first reported on it at 3:46 p.m.
While the circumstances behind the event remain under investigation, a photo captured at the scene indicates as many as two tractor-trailers were involved in a wreck that caused at least one truck to come to rest partially off the roadway.
The I-85 northbound exit ramp was blocked during the emergency response but was announced reopened by 6:20 p.m.
Local officials have not confirmed any significant injuries or hospital transports following the incident.
