Crews dispatched to major semi crash on I-65 NB near White House

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TN — Part of northbound Interstate 65 near White House was closed last Tuesday night after a tractor-trailer overturned, reports WSMV4.

The semi-truck crash took place at mile marker 110, in an area just before the Calista Road overpass and southeast of Cross Plains. It was first reported by Smokey Barn News on December 19 at 11:04 p.m.

Preliminary details indicate the big rig was transporting hospital linens when it lost control for unknown reasons and overturned onto its side in the median.

While no significant injuries were immediately reported, Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers and Robertson County deputies had the northbound highway shut down as emergency vehicles responded to the scene.

An investigation into the cause of the accident was in progress, but the WSMV4 report indicates cold and wet weather conditions may have contributed to the rollover.
