HORRY COUNTY, SC — Two people were injured Monday, December 4, as a result of a two-vehicle wreck involving a dump truck in Socastee, reports ABC 15 News.
The collision took place at the intersection of Socastee Boulevard and Brandymill Boulevard, in an area west of Myrtle Beach. Horry County Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene at about 1:21 p.m.
While the cause of the accident has not been specified, two vehicles, including a dump truck, were involved. At least one person was left trapped and had to be extricated the first responders.
Two people suffered unspecified injuries and had to be transported to an area hospital.
Part of the roadway was shut down during the response and investigation.
