COBB COUNTY, GA — A 38-year-old man was killed in a semi-truck crash early Sunday, December 10, on Interstate 20 near Austell, reports Atlanta News First.
It was first reported on the eastbound lanes of I-20, east of Riverside Parkway. Cobb County police officers and first responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 2:26 a.m.
A preliminary investigation found that Dewayne John, a Conyers resident, was driving a 2024 Mercedes GLE-450 when the vehicle struck the rear of a semi-truck. The Mercedes was then sent into a concrete wall.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office pronounced John deceased at the scene.
No injuries to the truck driver or anyone else were reported.
