TAMPA, FL – Multiple people were injured in a 6-vehicle crash on I-75 in Hillsborough County on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Tampa Bay Times, a white Toyota Corolla veered off the interstate near US-301 in Bradenton and struck a crash cushion. The driver of an Amazon semi-truck traveling behind the Toyota attempted to avoid a collision but ended up hitting the vehicle and the median.
Two hours after the initial crash took place, a Ford Ranger careened into the crash site, followed by three additional vehicles.
One unidentified victim was hosptialized with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries. It is unclear at this time which vehicle they occupied.
At least two others sustained injuries that were deemed less severe.
