JACKSONVILLE, FL – Drivers in Jacksonville faced major delays following a crash involving a UPS semi-truck early Tuesday, First Coast News reports.
The crash took place in the northbound lanes of I-295 shortly before 5:30 p.m.
Troopers with FHP say the truck veered off the roadway and struck an abandoned vehicle before hitting a guard rail and rolling down an embankment.
Additional information concerning the crash, and the condition of the the driver, are unavailable at this time. However, all northbound lanes were closed for several hours afterward while crews worked to clear the roadway.
