Two hurt in crash involving two semis on US-35 near Richmond Dale

ROSS CO., OH – Injuries have been reported in connection to a collision involving two semi-trucks that happened Tuesday night in Ross County.

According to The Scioto Post, the accident occurred around 11 p.m. along US-35 near mile marker 34 in the Chillicothe area.

Police say that the 26-year-old driver of a southbound semi lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn upon re-entry.

A second southbound 18-wheeler then collided with the overturned big rig.

Medics airlifted the driver of the overturned semi to a Columbus hospital with unspecified injuries.

The other truck driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.

Officials closed I-35 eastbound in the Richmond Dale area.

A full investigation is underway.
