Alleged DUI driver rear-ends semi on W Main in Francisco

FRANCISCO, IN – Authorities arrested a woman Monday after her vehicle rear-ended a semi in Gibson County, reports WTHR 13.

The accident occurred around 1 p.m. on West Main Street near South 4th Street in Francisco, which is around 39 miles northeast of Evansville.

Police say that 45-year-old Kristi Meyerholtz showed signs of intoxication when her Toyota Camry struck the rear of an 18-wheeler.

It’s unclear if anyone sustained injuries in the collision.

Authorities arrested Meyerholtz on charges that include endangerment and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

A full investigation is underway.
