JACKSONVILLE, FL – A truck driver sustained injuries Thursday in a solo crash along the interstate in Duval County, reports News 4 Jax.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m., a rollover accident involving an 18-wheeler forced officials to close the northbound lanes of I-295 just north of I-10 in east Jacksonville.
The cause and circumstances of the crash remain under review. Authorities say that the overturned truck spilled metal beams across the interstate.
Medics transported the truck driver to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The interstate remained closed for over six hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
