WILL CO., IL – One person sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a big rig in south-central Will County, reports CBS Chicago.
The collision, which involved a car and an 18-wheeler, happened before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Wilmington-Peotone Road and 104th Avenue, which is west of Peotone and around eleven miles southeast of Manhattan.
Police haven’t yet shared any details regarding the cause or circumstances of the accident, nor have they released the name of the deceased to the public.
Authorities closed the intersection while emergency crews attended to the victims, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene.
