KNOXVILLE, TN – A multi-vehicle crash involving two tractor-trailers shut down a stretch of I-640 West on Monday afternoon, WATE reports.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the collision occurred near mile marker 3 around 4:40 pm. One of the tractor-trailers overturned, spilling fuel onto the roadway.
The roadway was closed for several hours while the accident was investigated and crews cleaned up the spill.
It’s unclear at this time how the accident occurred. No serious injuries have been reported.
