I-196 Reopens in Hudsonville, MI After 100-Car Pileup Involving Dozens of Semi Truck

HUDSONVILLE, MI – A massive pileup of over 100 vehicles has been cleared from I-196 near Hudsonville, FOX 17 reports.

The incident began around 10:19 am on Monday when a number of vehicles slid off the road due to icy conditions and collided. The pileup grew to involve over 100 vehicles, including 30 to 40 semi trucks.

According to authorities, between 9 and 12 people were injured. Their conditions are currently unknown.

Both directions of I-196 were shut down until around 6 pm.
