SULLIVAN CO., TN – Three people, including two juveniles, were hospitalized after a five-vehicle crash involving multiple semi-trucks in north Sullivan County last month.
According to a report by WJHL, the crash took place on August 24th at about 2:30 p.m. on I-81 North near Kingsport.
Troopers say traffic was slowed for an uninvolved tractor-trailer being towed from the scene when a Freightliner truck failed to stop and careened into four additional vehicles. The impact sent one of the vehicles, a Dodge Caravan, into the rear of a Chevrolet pickup truck.
The driver of the Chevrolet and two passengers of the Dodge, ages 1 and 2, were hosptialized with unspecified injuries.
