OAKLAND COUNTY, MI – A man was freed from the wreckage of a collision involving a semi truck on Pontiac Trail Tuesday morning, CBS News reports.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the semi driver was exiting a Walmart parking lot in the 3000 block of Pontiac Trail around 7:15 am when a Chevrolet Malibu collided with the truck’s rear.
The driver of the Chevrolet, an 87-year-old man, was pinned inside the vehicle. The Commerce Township Fire Department responded to the accident scene and extricated the man. He was taken to Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
