LOS ANGELES, CA – A person was killed, and 15 others were injured, in a major multi-vehicle collision on the 5 Freeway Sunday morning, abc7 reports.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway just south of 4th Street in Boyle Heights around 5 am. The cause of the accident is unclear, but the California Highway Patrol reports that a semi truck collided with multiple vehicles.
One person died at the scene of the accident. Of the 15 others who were injured, 10 were hospitalized. Their conditions are currently unknown.
