ASHEVILLE, NC – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a semi-truck on I-40 Sunday morning, WYFF reports.
According to police, the accident occurred near exit 44 around 11 am. 44-year-old Daniel Gardner walked onto the westbound lanes of the interstate and was hit by the tractor-trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
