{"id":950,"date":"2023-08-29T18:33:54","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T18:33:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/truckaccidentlawyers.com\/news\/?p=950"},"modified":"2023-09-12T20:32:12","modified_gmt":"2023-09-12T20:32:12","slug":"collision-involving-semi-truck-in-phenix-city-leaves-3-dead-1-seriously-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/truckaccidentlawyers.com\/news\/alabama-truck-accidents\/collision-involving-semi-truck-in-phenix-city-leaves-3-dead-1-seriously-injured\/","title":{"rendered":"Collision involving semi-truck in Phenix City leaves 3 dead, 1 seriously injured"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PHENIX CITY, AL &#8211; A crash in Phenix City involving an SUV and a semi-truck resulted in the deaths of two adults and a child, as well as the serious injury of a second child, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtvm.com\/2023\/08\/27\/two-vehicle-crash-hwy-80-phenix-city-leaves-3-dead-1-seriously-injured\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTVM reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The collision occurred on Highway 80 East near Garrett Harrison Stadium, where an SUV rear-ended a semi-truck.<\/p>\n<p>Two adult occupants of the SUV were pronounced dead at the scene around 6:12 p.m., according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. They have been identified as Ami Napier, 32, and Jimmy Napier Jr., 33.<\/p>\n<p>The Napiers&#8217; two young children were riding in the back of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>One of the children was airlifted to an Atlanta Hospital in critical condition. Tragically, they subsequently succumbed to injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The other child suffered severe injuries.
