He failed to slow down and rear-ended the truck, leading him to succumb to his injuries at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Public Safety said the car driver was not wearing a seatbelt while operating his vehicle. They have since identified him as Aaron Contreras from Lamesa.<\/p>\n<p>The truck driver was unharmed and wore a seatbelt.
