There, he succumbed to his injuries. He has since been identified as 70-year-old Lorenzo Guajardo from San Benito.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Department of Transportation later confirmed that the truck driver was texting and driving while operating the truck. He was &#8220;arrested and charged with criminal negligent homicide.&#8221; He has since been identified as 39-year-old Luis Fernando Gonzalez Altamirano from Mexico. He was booked into the Cameron County Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center.
