The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene. They said the truck driver was spared from injuries and had confirmed that the 26-year-old man passed away at the scene. Troopers have identified him as Christopher Aaron Vargas from San Angelo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Authorities suspect Vargas did not wear a seatbelt, which could have played a role in his death. Nonetheless, an investigation is underway.
