Additional details indicate that due to the man\u2019s medical episode, he forgot to \u201clower the truck bed,\u201d which caused him to collide with the overpass in the first place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Troopers said the impact led the man to suffer a serious head and face laceration and was airlifted to a hospital as a result.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, debris from the collision came into contact with a pickup truck, which totaled the truck. However, the driver was spared from injuries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Troopers confirmed the bridge was also damaged as a result. As such, they summoned <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FDOT Inspectors to the scene so they could ensure that the bridge\u2019s structural integrity was not compromised.
