After the car made contact with the truck, the driver \u2014 36-year-old Linnel Outlaw from Williamston, freed himself from the car as it caught fire. The passenger, identified as 42-year-old Krystal Whitely, was not able to escape from the car and perished on site.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The truck driver, 63-year-old Richard Thomas from Stokes, was unharmed.
