FAYETTEVILLE, NC \u2013 Two Cape Fear Valley ambulances took a semi-truck and a trash truck (from Waste Management) driver to a hospital after their vehicles collided Friday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CBS 17<\/a> said this crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the South Raeford Road and I-295 intersection. The Fayetteville Fire Department said the impact of this crash led the semi to roll over and land on its side. As a result, fire crews had to extricate the semi-driver, and he was freed just before 8 a.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the time being, fire crews and police closed westbound Raeford to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process. Amid the closures, they advised drivers to take I-295 North instead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First responders did not confirm which driver was at fault, how the collision was brought on, or specified the severity of injuries sustained in this collision.
