NASHVILLE, TN \u2013 A driver of a red pickup truck fled the scene after colliding with a semi-truck on I-40, which resulted in the semi overturning and injuring the semi-driver Friday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This collision happened around 5 a.m. near mile marker 193 past the Pegram community, according to WKRN<\/a>. The impact of this collision showed that the semi-truck completely landed on its side, and the big rig, which was hauling lots of flour, had spilled on a grassy area along the interstate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After arriving, crews closed all of the eastbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process and blocked one westbound lane. Drivers in the area could still pass the crash site by taking one lane, which was left open.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Tennessee Department of Transportation officials\u00a0<\/span>first announced these closures, but have not provided an update on the lifting of closures or the scene clearance. Metro Police have also not commented on the events behind this semi-rollover wreck, nor have they mentioned who was at fault or provided a description of the hit-and-run suspect.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
