Jernigan Jr., lost control of the truck on I-40 West prior to striking the bridge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jernigan and the passenger with him, Loren B. Smallwood, North Carolina residents, both succumbed to fatal wounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No other vehicles were reported in this collision.
