He is believed to have walked into the direct path of a Freightliner before being hit in the southbound lane.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the Toyota Tacoma, who was traveling behind the semi, attempted to switch from the right southbound lane into the left southbound lane to avoid a collision with the semi, which was braking.
