BIRMINGHAM, AL — Three people were injured last Friday afternoon, March 8, as a result of a crash involving a U-Haul truck at the parking deck of a southeast Birmingham apartment complex, reports CBS 42<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The accident happened at Cortland Vesta Apartments, off of Highland Avenue. CBS 42 first reported on the event at about 2:32 p.m.<\/p>\n

Birmingham Fire and Rescue officials indicated that at least three people, including the driver, were inside a U-Haul when it collided with a structural column at the complex’s parking deck.<\/p>\n

First responders transported two passengers to local hospitals. Following assistance from Weil Wrecker personnel, the driver was extricated from the vehicle and then also transported to an area hospital.<\/p>\n

It’s unclear what led up to the collision, but officials said all three patients were last listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
