Tennessee Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene at about 9:06 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to the crash report, southbound traffic had come to a standstill because of a previous collision. The woman was driving a pickup truck in the right lane when she failed to slow down in time before the stopped traffic. Moments later, the pickup rear-ended the tractor-trailer, causing both vehicles to lose control before coming to a stop in the right lane.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the pickup, Alexa Hoffman, was pronounced deceased. Officials said she was seat-belted at the time of the collision.
