It was first reported some time before 9;30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, a commercial car hauler was heading westbound when it hit the back of a 2022 Toyota sedan. After the initial impact, the car hauler veered past the cable barrier and entered the eastbound highway, where it was struck by an oncoming 2024 Honda sedan.<\/p>\n<p>First responders pronounced all five of the Honda&#8217;s occupants deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The driver and sole occupant of the car hauler was transported to an area hospital for unspecified injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the driver of the Toyota, who was also traveling alone, was not reported hurt.<\/p>\n<p>A section of I-26 was shut down during the emergency response and investigation, which remains ongoing with the highway patrol.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/0\/embed?mid=12WJdRjhRP1E7Ik8LaJ96Bn9PPSOjWUo&amp;ehbc=2E312F&amp;noprof=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In the aftermath of a painful event and the unimaginable loss of a loved one, your family deserves justice and maximum compensation.
