{"id":1855,"date":"2023-12-21T20:16:09","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T02:16:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/truckaccidentlawyers.com\/news\/?p=1855"},"modified":"2023-12-21T20:16:09","modified_gmt":"2023-12-22T02:16:09","slug":"man-charged-after-injury-crash-involving-commercial-truck-in-habersham-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/truckaccidentlawyers.com\/news\/georgia-truck-accidents\/man-charged-after-injury-crash-involving-commercial-truck-in-habersham-county\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged after injury crash involving commercial truck in Habersham County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HABERSHAM COUNTY, GA &#8212; Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck involving a commercial truck Thursday afternoon in northeast Clarkseville, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/nowhabersham.com\/wreck-temporarily-shuts-down-us-441-south-in-hollywood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Now Habersham<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The crash happened on a span of Georgia State Highway 15\/U.S. Highway 441 at Talmadge Drive.<\/p>\n<p>A preliminary investigation conducted by the Georgia State Patrol shows that Charles Stockton, 80, was operating a Chevrolet C150 pickup truck northbound on US-144 when he ran a red light. Moments later, the pickup collided with a Toyota RAV4 and then a GMC C4C work truck in the intersection.<\/p>\n<p>Stockton was rushed by Habersham County EMC to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>First responders also transported the driver of the RAV4, Vera Mercer, by ambulance to NGMC in Demorest for unspecified injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Troopers said the driver of the commercial truck, Bobby White, 82, was uninjured.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation was conducted by Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa, as well as the GSP&#8217;s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) and State Motor Carrier Compliance Division (MCCD).<\/p>\n<p>Traffic was delayed for over two hours during the emergency response.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/0\/embed?mid=1JTZt8gqk37FVZdHXVJyhLnFeKl_WpQ8&amp;ehbc=2E312F&amp;noprof=1\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>You deserve compassionate legal support after a traumatic truck crash.
