Moments later, the truck rear-ended the cruiser, causing its trunk to crumple in.<\/p>\n<p>Despite severe damage to the cruiser, the officer suffered only minor injuries. It was unclear whether he had to be transported to a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol was underway.
