Shortly after, the SUV collided with an oncoming dump truck.<\/p>\n<p>The force of the crash, which left the truck&#8217;s front end crushed and pushed the SUV onto its side, caused both vehicles to land in a swampy ditch.<\/p>\n<p>First responders arrived on the scene to find the SUV partially submerged, and its male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after.<\/p>\n<p>A passenger in the SUV who suffered serious injuries was rushed to an area hospital.
