At one point, they were hit by a westbound 2014 Nissan SUV, which went on to slam into the truck.<\/p>\n<p>The pedestrian, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced deceased by the Lexington County Coroner&#8217;s Office.\u00a0Officials did not immediately clarify whether the person struck was a worker, but the truck driver was not reported hurt.<\/p>\n<p>First responders had the driver of the SUV, along with the vehicle&#8217;s two passengers, transported to a local hospital.
