It involved three semi trucks and four passenger vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>One of the semi-truck drivers stopped in the travel lane due to low visibility caused by smoke from a prescribed burn at Picayune Strand State Forest. A second semi collided with the truck&#8217;s rear, causing a chain reaction crash.<\/p>\n<p>A 52-year-old man from Madeira driving a Chevrolet pickup was killed. Two occupants of the pickup were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
